Description of Package
This package will focus on a desk based study appraising the Global adoption of BIM in selected jurisdictions; the adoption of BIM in Ireland presently, which will include reference to selected Irish BIM case studies and an up-to-date Irish BIM Transition Survey.
Work Package Objectives
- Undertake a systematic review of BIM adoption in international regions with particular focus on the enablers to support national implementation programmes.
- Investigate the landscape of BIM adoption and BIM initiatives presently in Ireland.
- Identify and capture best practice effecting of BIM on Irish projects in the Irish and international markets.
- Research and evaluate attitudes towards Digital Transition in the Irish AEC sector, identifying operational challenges in company adoption and suitability for Irish industry (to enable Irish industry to compete to international standards).
Research Methods
Desk-based literature review and Irish AEC survey.
