P.J. Hegarty & Sons was established in 1925 and is now one of Ireland’s leading and most progressive building and civil engineering companies. The Company undertakes projects throughout Ireland and the UK from offices in Dublin, Cork, Limerick and London, and has been associated with many of the country’s major developments in the commercial, industrial and infrastructural sectors. For instance, the Intel Microchip Facility project in County Kildare since 1992, one of Ireland’s largest projects; the Wyeth Biopharma project, the Criminal Courts of Justice Complex, both in Dublin, Terminal 2 at Dublin Airport and the N6 Galway and M50 Dublin PPP Motorway projects. The Company has built up significant resources and expertise over our 85 years in business with an annual turnover of €289million and 437 people directly employed. Contracts vary in type and size, but the primary activity of the company is the undertaking of large and complex projects in commercial, industrial and institutional building, refurbishment and civil engineering.In addition to technical and plant resources P J Hegarty & Sons has built up a strong financial base that allows it to carry out several multi-million euro projects simultaneously. P J Hegarty & Sons offers the full range of construction services associated with a major construction company including management contracting, design / build, design/build finance, alliance/partnering and turn-key / PPP contracts, in addition to traditional building arrangements. The range of work undertaken varies in type and size from multi-million euro projects down to small and medium size contracts and covers Commercial, Retail and Tourism, Industrial and Institutional Building, Refurbishment, Civil and Geotechnical Engineering. The Company is certified to ISO 9001:2008 and to ISO 14001: 2004 and is fully committed to providing a quality service and to completing projects to the highest standards, on time and within budget.
