This series is designed to complement the Irish Governments Housing-for-All programme, in particular, the states intervention to stimulate residential construction related innovation and productivity. The specific focus of this six-part series will be to showcase the capability that new construction methodologies and technologies will play in supporting the Housing Policy Objective of Improving Sector Innovation and Attractiveness. A key feature of the series will be the inclusion of both Irish and international case studies. Specifically, the series is designed to keep pace with vision of the Housing-for-All plan. The housing supply chain industry in Ireland must embrace modern methods of construction and digitalisation.
The series has three core purposes:
- Identify how innovation and digitisation can help the Irish housing supply chain address the challenge set forth in the Housing- for-All plan in expediting quality housing in Ireland.
- Explore what key change is necessary in the residential sector to ensure greater affordability and supply of housing in Ireland.
- Examine what Ireland can learn from lessons both at home and abroad in respect to innovation and digitalisation use in delivery of quality housing.

CitA will continue its Tech Trend series in 2022 as part of its Challenge, Change, Learn 2022-2024 strategic initiative. This year the series will be a more “grounded” experience for attendees where they can learn from success stories in the use of construction technologies across a typical project lifecycle.
The mission of CitA is to connect its members and the wider CitA network to innovation. All construction SMEs should today look to increase competitiveness, efficiency and proximity to their customers through digital technology.
This six-part series will seek to showcase case studies in technology use following a construction project pathway or life cycle.
