THE RIAI/CITA BIM 4 DAY WORKSHOP
Dates: 1st - 4th November 2011
Time: 09.30am - 17.30pm
Venue: RIAI, 8 Merrion Square, D2
Come along at any time during the 4 days to see "BIM in Action" and talk to the Professional Team.
The RIAI Practice Committee for BIM in conjunction with the CITA BIM Group and the Department of Education and Skills, Planning & Building Unit are carrying out a BIM Workshop with a fully collaborative design team of Industry Consultants.
This workshop aims to showcase BIM as a more efficient and effective way for project teams to collaborate, promoting a higher level of understanding and adoption of BIM within the profession and the construction industry. The project team will take the standard components of a GRD (Generic Repeat Design) Primary School, and carry out a 4 day collaborative design workshop to develop a new design proposal that optimizes site conditions and tests some innovative ideas and layouts. The team will demonstrate some of the BIM software tools available that easily allow information to be exchanged between the various project stakeholders, enabling quick analysis and validation of the design against technical requirements for energy performance, environmental conditions, structural stability and cost certainty.
NO REGISTRATION REQUIRED - OPEN TO PUBLIC
