In October 2008, CITA was successful in securing a three year funding contract with Enterprise Ireland for the formation of a Small to Medium Enterprise Innovation Network for the Irish Construction Sector.

The CITA Enterprise Innovation Network (EIN) initiative is to promote information technology, research and innovation in SME's in the Construction Industry, under the sponsorship of Enterprise Ireland.

In particular, the project will seek to assist SME companies in the construction industry to develop and utilise technologies that will enable them to become more efficient and to win international projects. Furthermore this project will drive implementation in the use of electronic business by SMEs by developing a strong and proactive Enterprise Innovation Network.
