KEYNOTE SPEAKER

 David Philp - Head of BIM Implementation Cabinet Office, London

David Graduated in the early nineties and straight away joined Balfour Beaty as a Graduate Engineer. He advanced through the company becoming Director of Technical Services and latterly BIM Programme Director.

David's enthusiasm lies in highlighting the potential of new technologies and how we interact with them to unlock new ways of working throughout the entire life-cycle. David is passionate about the industry and perceives BIM as being a catalyst for reform.

As an early adopter of practical change and purposeful collaboration David, is currently seconded to the Cabinet Office's Efficiency and reform group where he is "Head of BIM Implementation".

DAVID PHILP'S PRESENTATION

- Every BIM project needs a strategy
- Every Company needs a BIM policy
- Every Institution needs a policy and so does government

Wouldn't it be good if all these policies started from the same point rather than being developed in isolation?

Wouldn't it be good if the policy of different companies coming together to do BIM were aligned in some general way that facilitated rather than hindered the BIM Process?

One of the outcomes of this workshop could be a template policy that could be used as a starting point for all stakeholders in creating their own policy.
